Biscuit Decorating at Winchester Cathedral

Have some good old-fashioned family fun this Easter as the Winchester Cathedral celebrates with a drop-in biscuit decorating workshop. While kids create their edible masterpieces, mums and dads can take the rare opportunity to sit down with a cuppa!
There's no need to book. A £1 charge will be made on the day for each biscuit decorated.
Easter Bunny Event at Sparsholt College

Join Peter Rabbit and his friends for a fun family day out with plenty of Easter activities to enjoy!
Look for Peter’s carrots on the Easter Trail and meet Peter Rabbit himself along with his friends from the Beatrix Potter tales. Kids can make their own Easter baskets and bunny ears! There will also be plants for sale, refreshments and face painting.

A Day Out With Thomas
30 March – 8 April
Spend a day out with Thomas on the Mid-Hants Railway Watercress Line. This Easter, the friendly tank engine heads back to Winchester with funfair rides and a tasty food offering.
Take unlimited trips up and down the railway behind Thomas and his friends, including Toad the Brake Van. Kids will also get the chance to shake hands with the Fat Controller and take part in other free Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Stations.
Free fun-filled experiences at Ropley Station include Horton’s Steam Fair vintage swing boats and chair-o-plane rides, a Thomas-themed entertainer, the miniature railway and a story corner, with Thomas stories read by The Fat Controller and Rusty.
A huge variety of local delicacies with a unique twist are planned, including the Cookie Bar Bus, speciality teas, coffee, cookies, cakes and snacks. And for sweet-toothed tots, Fat Sam’s Ice Cream van will be providing delicious ice creams throughout the day at Alresford Station.
A Day Out With Thomas costs £18 for adults and £12 for children aged 2–15. The event is free for children aged under two years old. Family tickets (two adults and two children) cost £54. All tickets include participation in activities, admission onto funfair rides and unlimited travel on trains, running between 9:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Winchester Bunny Hop
31 March –13 April
The Winchester Bunny has been up to his usual tricks and has hidden some clues around shops and businesses in the city just waiting to be found by children of all ages. Find the clues and crack the code to claim your chocolatey treat. Pick up your free family-friendly trail sheet from the tourist information centre.
Marwell Zoo Egg Hunt
30 March – 15 April
Marwell invites one and all to their traditional Easter egg hunt. The zoo challenges guests to find the giant golden egg after cracking a puzzle for a chance to win four tickets to their sunset safaris in the summer.
Children can also Meet the Easter Bunny from 30 March to 2 April, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Both events are included with the general admission price of £20 for adults and £16 for children. Free for infants under 2.
Beaulieu Nature Hunt
30 March – 15 April
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Pick up your magnifying glass and put your detective skills to the test! Beaulieu invites all visitors to explore nature’s wonders on their bird-themed Easter trail.
Grab your trail bag, explore beautiful gardens, collect all the items and complete the activities. You can also join in with bird-making and colouring crafts in the Palace House. While you’re at it, look the part with free nature-themed face paintings, running from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Easter Sunday Afternoon Tea in the Dawley Barn

Enjoy afternoon tea plus entertainment with vintage songs from the Frockstars.

Embark on a pre-historic adventure as dinosaur aficionado Dr Ben Garrod talks you through the mightiest predators that ever roamed the planet. Pitting the knowledge of unwitting parents against their all-knowing kids, Dr Ben presents an interactive, educational and highly entertaining show at Theatre Royal Winchester using film footage from the BBC’s Planet Dinosaur.

THE JUNGLE BOOK at Theatre Royal Winchester
